Oriental philosophy and aesthetics form the foundation of Ji's artistic style. In this series, Ji draws inspiration from Japanese haiku poetry, reinterpreting the rhythm and cadence of haiku to create this collection. Ji employs natural materials such as branches, silk, handmade textured paper, and vegan leather. The sculptures exhibit irregular, asymmetrical, incomplete, and imperfect lines, embodying the naturalistic style. This approach reflects the philosophical concepts underpinning Japanese Zen and the wabi-sabi aesthetic.
